Get Involved

We rely on the support of the general public to continue helping people with hearing loss in Hertfordshire, Suffolk Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and West Essex.

There are various ways you can help us...

Get Involved

Volunteer With Us

We are always on the look out for new volunteers, and have a number of different opportunities including clinic 'meet and greet', Deaf befriending and hearing aid maintenance.
Our volunteer Hearing Aiders are trained to provide basic hearing aid maintenance, including cleaning and re-tubing NHS hearing aids and replacing batteries. Volunteers visit residential homes, sheltered accommodation and day centres across Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Bedfordshire, offering practical support, advice on hearing loss and communication tips. Many of our volunteers have a hearing impairment themselves so have first-hand experience of how stressful and isolating hearing loss can be.

If you would like to volunteer, or chat through the various opportunities please contact us.

This service is kindly supported by Hertfordshire County Council, Sensing Change Suffolk, NHS Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Bedfordshire.
