TINNITUS SUPPORT GROUP

An exciting new Tinnitus Support Group started in Ipswich on Monday 15th January at 13.30. Please let us know if you wish to come along. The aim of the group is to give those with tinnitus constructive and practical advice and support regarding the condition. There is the opportunity to discuss your tinnitus with others (peer support) and find out about techniques and practical things you can do to manage the condition. In January 2018 SHAS took over the running of the Martlesham Heath HoH Club. This is a thriving and very friendly club that meets once a month at The Pavilion in MH on the first Thursday of each month 10.30-12.00. Support Service for the hard-of-hearing launched in West Essex

HHAS has launched a free service for people with hearing loss in West Essex, which allows people to get help with their hearing aid at a local GP surgery. Philip Linnegar, the chief executive of the Hearing Advisory Service with Emiliana Jesus, Audiology Technical Officer at the Audiology Department in St Margaret's Hospital, Epping The West Essex Hearing Advisory Service (West Essex HAS) regularly visits eight GP surgeries in Epping, Harlow, North Weald, Theydon Bois and Waltham Abbey, as well as a day centre in Sawbridgeworth.
