Technical Advisory Service
This free service provides information and advice on assistive equipment for people with hearing loss. A wide variety of assistive equipment is on display at the Woodside Centre in Welwyn Garden City, which our staff or volunteers will show you how to use.
You can also try out assistive equipment at our resource centre in Hemel Hempstead.
We display and demonstrate a range of assistive equipment at the Woodside Centre for home and work, including:
- TV and radio listening aids
- Telephones with amplifiers and flashing lights
- Smoke and fire alarms
- Flashing light and amplified doorbells
- Vibrating alarm clocks
- Personal amplifiers
- Baby listening systems
This service is available by appointment only at the Woodside Centre every Thursday between 10.00am and 3.00pm and on the 3rd Saturday of each month between 9.30am and 12.00 noon. For appointments please contact us.
